 Group Water System Manager

 

We are looking for a Water Systems Group Manager to lead the group water system strategy and the design and management of all Peninsula Hot Springs (PHS) Group ground and geothermal extraction distribution, filtration and reinjection systems uniquely balancing safety and reliability with a wholistic approach which protects the integrity and natural state of water.

Working with senior management and owners, this position takes responsibility for bathing water purity, and reliability across all PHS Group owned and operated sites, with alignment to the PHS Group purpose and values.

Reporting to the Peninsula Hot Springs Facilities Director, this role will see you;

  • Lead the development and execution of the PHS Group water systems strategic plan
  • Provide innovative solutions which balance functionality, safety and protect the integrity and natural state of water.
  • Project manage the water systems projects from scoping to completion
  • Oversee the design, construction, commissioning, and operation of PHS Group’s natural, ground and geothermal water systems.
  • Provide insightful and innovative technical advice on proposed water and wastewater projects.
  • Work closely with site maintenance personnel, ensuring the optimal working order of all water infrastructure
  • Practice positive and proactive internal and external Stakeholder Management
  • Follow Compliance and Risk Management

About You:

This role is perfectly suited to someone with the following attributes:

  • Degree, preferably in one or more of the following areas: Engineering, either Civil or Environmental, a postgraduate qualification in hydrology or hydrogeology would be highly regarded
  • Strategic leadership experience leading water engineering projects within fast evolving entrepreneurial environments
  • Engineering project management experience overseeing varying capital works projects with an ability to plan, prioritise and mitigate risks and deliver projects to objectives
  • Demonstrated expertise and understanding of water quality assessment and application of water purification systems
  • Authentic commitment to a wholistic approach to water systems with considerations to nature and environmental principles
  • Well-developed strategic planning and innovation skills with a proven track record for providing high quality, innovative advice and solutions
  • Experience communication skills, and ability to manage and develop internal/external relationships
  • Strong people management experience, with the ability to lead, inspire and develop a team
  • Strong commercial business acumen and financial competency
