This position offers the opportunity to take a leading role in the development of a research agenda focused on Built Environment Informatics and Innovation, while working cooperatively with others across the Design Architecture and Building Faculty, and UTS.
As part of UTS’s innovative and vibrant Faculty of Design, Architecture and Building, you will join a new research centre (Built Environment Informatics and Innovation) based in the School of Built Environment. This School has a reputation for creating some of the most progressive, future-focused thinkers and leaders in the construction, property, planning, project management, and related industries.
As the School embarks on an exciting phase of growth, capable and motivated academics are needed to build upon the Centre’s research agenda. As a Post-Doctoral Fellow you will become part of a focused research team, in one of three areas: Emergent industrial processes, Digital and spatial informatics and Comprehensive concepts of value.
As part of one of these teams, you will be responsible for contributing to and writing grant applications, conducting funded research, publishing in high quality academic outlets, and developing strong relationships with external funding entities. You may also contribute to offering short courses aimed at industry, and will have the opportunity to develop your teaching record.
As the successful candidate, you will have specialised knowledge (and a promising research record) in one or more of the following areas: Digital technologies related to construction processes; Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DFMA) in prefabricated construction; Infrastructure procurement, finance and funding; Informatics for the Built Environment; data analytics applied to the built environment and social innovation in the built environment.

Base Salary Range: $85,234 to $91,491 for Associate Lecturer (Level A) and $99,924 to $114,343 for Lecturer (Level B). Level of appointment will be dependent upon your experience and current research track record.
This role attracts 17% superannuation in addition to the base salary. Employee benefits include flexible work practices, child care centres, generous parental leave and salary packaging opportunities.
The role a is 36 months term full time appointment.
