Project Officer - New South Wales

What you’ll do:  

  • Support a team of Project Managers, Project Engineers, Construction Managers and other project support staff and undertake assigned project tasks to meet specific project needs. 
  • Liaise with internal and external groups and individuals to assist with Project Managers to ensure well informed decisions are made in relation to the project.
  • Supporting project management activities under the guidance of the Project Manager such as assisting in the preparation of key project artefacts (project management plans, schedules, specifications) and assisting in the control of project performance (including schedule, financial, environmental, WHS and quality) through monitoring all aspects of project delivery.  
  • Supporting timely reporting on project parameters including progress against project plan, risks and issues. 
  • Supporting the coordination of contracts for consulting, construction and any other externally provided services required to enable the delivery of projects. 
  • Develop understanding and competency in project management and technical disciplines related to WaterNSW projects. 

What we are looking for:

  • Engineering degree (bachelor level or above) from a recognised tertiary institution.
  • Demonstrated interest or understanding of principles and practices of project management, construction and engineering. (IDEALLY asset-based projects but not essential).
  • Good verbal and written communications skills with capacity to communicate effectively with multi-disciplinary professionals and report writing.
  • Competent with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Current NSW Driver’s License.
