Central Coast Council is the third largest water utility (or water and sewage service) in NSW servicing 139,000 homes and businesses in a growing region. 

It is an exciting time to join the Water and Sewer team as they are transforming the way Central Coast Council delivers critical services to the community. 

As a part of a newly created maintenance planning and scheduling team, you will play an important role in this change, designing and delivering new work management systems and scheduled maintenance programs to deliver reliability centred maintenance. 

You will be leading projects and teams in the development of qualitative and quantitative data systems and software packages to be used for data analytics and trend analysis. This will in turn be used to inform the water and sewer business of system optimisation and business improvements that will deliver benefits in terms of service efficiency, regulatory compliance, customer service and safety.

This position is required to provide quality customer service and create value for the community.

Key activities of this role include:

  • Drive improvements in operational data collection and integration of data systems
  • Develop, utilise, lead project teams and provide technical expertise in software/system tools to be used across the business to identify trends, patterns and insights from raw data
  • Assist in identifying remedial and improvement actions for water and sewer systems

This role provides a commencing salary range of between $92.1k to $120.5k per annum (inclusive of Market Loading) dependent on skills and experience + 3.5% Civil Liability Allowance as appropriate + 10.5% superannuation. 

A leaseback vehicle is provided in this role for official duties and private use and your choice of vehicle will be provided when one becomes available in accordance with Council’s Vehicle Policy. In the meantime, either an alternate pre-used vehicle or a vehicle allowance of $165 per week ($8,580 per annum) is temporarily applied for this position due to ongoing issues with supply for new vehicles OR  alternately a vehicle allowance of $165 per week ($8,580 per annum) is also an available option.  

A 9 day fortnight work-cycle currently applies to this role, with flexible/hybrid working arrangements available.
