Central Coast Council is the third largest water utility (or water and sewage service) in NSW servicing 139,000 homes and businesses in a growing region. 

It is an exciting time to join the Water and Sewer team as they are transforming the way Central Coast Council delivers critical services to the community. 

As a part of a newly created and dedicated contract management team, you will play an important role in this change, establishing and delivering strategic procurement and contract management capability to the business. 

You will develop strategies for improving the management of contracts across Water and Sewer and provide advice and guidance to stakeholders.

About the role:

  • Preparation and review of contract documents and project reports
  • Provide advice and support on contractual matters and mentor staff undertaking tender and contract administration functions
  • Manage and provide quality control of tender and contract management processes 
  • Coordinate and communicate contract renewal and development program to stakeholders
  • Manage contract progress payments, variations assessment and contractor deliverables being receipted as per contractual commitments 
  • Communicating with vendors regarding delivery schedules, delays in work, and other issues that may arise during the course of a contract
  • Procurement of professional services in accordance with Council procedures, review and recommend payments to vendors and contractors
  • Review and recommend change orders and cost commitments on projects
  • Support the Contract Manager in maintaining overall program deliverables

This role provides a commencing salary range of between $79.3k to $95.2k per annum dependent on skills and experience + 10.5% superannuation.
