About the role

Positioned within the City’s Urban Growth Area Planning Unit, the Project Engineer has a specific focus on the management and implementation of our Development Contribution Plans (DCPs) and associated s173 agreements.

Duties and responsibilities

• Assessment of developer liability.
• Annual indexation of DCP levies.
• Technical engineering drawings and reports.
• Facilitating communications and agreements between landowners/developers and stakeholders.
• Assist in the planning for growth area infrastructure and in the preparation of new DCPs.
• Drive continuous improvement in related policies and procedures.

Skills and experience

• Several years experience in design, planning, project costing and/or construction of roads, drainage and associated works,
• Tertiary qualification in civil or environmental engineering.
• Sound knowledge of the Subdivision Act, Planning and Environment Act, and Local Government Act.
• Professional communication style.
• Excellent organisational skills.
• Ability to think laterally to come up with innovative solutions.
