Marine Engineer

 

Are you an experienced marine engineer with your MED II? Come and join Australia’s only ocean-grown barramundi farm today!

Reporting to the Skipper, you will be required to oversee the daily operation and routine maintenance of machinery on board the Innovator vessel. While on shift, your accommodation is included! This is a full-time role operating on a 4 week on, 4 week off roster.

Key tasks and responsibilities for this position include:

  • Completion of routine maintenance;
  • Ensuring minimal unscheduled downtime;
  • Completion of start-up and shut down checks and procedures;
  • Active participation in housekeeping of the vessel, with particular responsibility for engine rooms and deck machinery; and
  • Participation in all general farm duties as requested by the Skipper.

What you’ll need

To succeed in this role, you will need your MED II and marine engineering experience. It would be a bonus to also have your Master 4 or 5 qualification.
