Farm Program Facilitator

Salary: AUD $54,855.60 per annum plus Superannuation (Remuneration stated is for the part-time position)
Employment status: Permanent
Employment arrangement: Part Time role 43.5 hours per fortnight (roster includes weekend work)

Sydney City Farm Program Facilitator (working 43.5 hours per fortnight, roster includes weekend work)
Are you passionate about sustainability and urban agriculture? Do you enjoy a balance between working in a hands-on outdoor environment and being office based? Are you good with people and an excellent communicator? Do you have the ability to manage a busy workload while ensuring attention to detail?
Due to internal restructure, we have an exciting new part time opportunity available to join the Sydney City Farm team based at St Peters. You could work with the local community and be part of our challenging and rewarding project.
City farms are being set up throughout Australia and the world, as people want to learn more about their food and the connections between paddock and plate. We are developing Sydney City Farm as a place to learn about urban agriculture and sustainable food production.
We are seeking an energetic, dedicated natural collaborator to lead operational aspects at the farm site including cropping and orchard production, plant nursery function, coordinating volunteers, and organising farmers' market offer.
You will ideally have tertiary qualifications and / or extensive experience in horticulture, food production and nursery practices; along with experience in volunteer coordination.

This role will require a pre-employment medical examination, a national criminal record background check and a Working with Children Check. Compliance with Child Protection legislation is essential. A current first aid certificate or willingness to undertake relevant training is also required.
