Randwick City Council is an innovative and progressive local government organisation committed to serving our vibrant community on the eastern beaches of Sydney. We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Geographic Information System (GIS) Analyst to join the Spatial Systems team.

The successful candidate will not only have proven technical abilities but also be adaptable, team oriented and possess good communication and interpersonal abilities. If this sounds like you and you have extensive experience in providing support, delivery and maintenance of spatial and land information systems for internal and external customers, then we would like to hear from you!

To be considered for this position your application will need to demonstrate how you meet the following essential criteria:

• Tertiary qualifications in spatial/geographic information systems, or equivalent.
• Demonstrated extensive experience in updating GIS map layers.
• Demonstrated experience in producing high quality cartographic maps.
• Demonstrated experience with maintenance of GIS cadastral data. Understanding of Land and Property Information such as Lands Titling System, Certificate of Titles, Plan types and NSW property legislation procedures and practices.
• Demonstrated experience with spatial information, land information, and asset management software systems.
• Experience with creation and management of asset spatial and attribute data.
• Demonstrated experience with relational databases and writing SQL queries.
• Demonstrated experience with writing Python scripts - a widely used general-purpose, high-level programming language.
• Demonstrated experience with developing online mapping applications.
• Demonstrated experience analysing spatial data.
• Demonstrated experience in the provision of customer service to internal and external customers.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritise work tasks and to work as part of a team.
• Demonstrated high level of written and oral communication skills.
• Knowledge and commitment to EEO, WHS and the principles for a cultural diverse society.
• Current NSW Class C Drivers Licence.
