The future of the Renewable Energy target may become more certain soon, with submissions from interested parties beginning to surface.

The panel conducting the review has started publishing some of the submissions it has received from a broad range of stakeholders and public interests.

There has been plenty of speculation over the future of the Renewable Energy Target, which had been set up to prompt the development of the next generation of energy technology.

Submissions to the panel closed on May 16, and now two weeks later the stakeholders’ views are being published.

Some submissions can be found here.

The panel behind the review says it has not put up the full list of submissions, but it intends to “progressively publish further submissions over the coming weeks”.

The review panel has also put up “non-confidential” submissions, which reports say may be used for any independent electricity market modelling to inform the review.
