About the Parks & Gardens Department
This department is part of our City Services Division, and is the operations arm responsible for the sustainable planning and management of Council's open, outdoor and natural environments including all green spaces, trees and the Geelong Botanic Gardens.
About the Role
The Coordinator Tree Management will provide leadership to Council staff and contractors managing Geelong’s urban forest, and will actively seek business improvement opportunities, lead team developments, influence and motivate a large workforce and be a key member of Parks & Gardens Leadership Team
This position is also required to provide a total “Life Cycle” asset management approach to Council tree management to manage the growth, development and diversification of the city’s urban forest. It will coordinate tree management operations to achieve compliance with contractual, legislative and agreed service level requirements.
