About the Role

This exciting role will work primarily on the $6.3m RACE for 2030 Energy Upgrades for Australian Homes (EUAH) project, coordinating the development of home energy upgrade and electrification pilots and their linkage to supporting research activities. This project has been established to contribute to the goal of upgrading a million Australian homes by 2030, towards market transformation that will see the upgrading of 4 million homes by 2034. Such an outcome is critical to Australia achieving a net zero emissions economy, as part of its contribution to limiting global warming to 1.5 degrees. The role will be based at the Institute for Sustainable Futures (UTS) in Ultimo, Sydney and work closely with research and industry partners around the country.

 

We would like to hear from applicants with the following skills, knowledge and attributes:

  • Ability to design, conduct and evaluate research
  • Excellent networking and stakeholder management skills, supported by strong written and verbal communication
  • Effective project management skills and experience
  • A passion for sustainability and knowledge of current best practice relating to the residential buildings and/or energy sectors

 The role will be at least 4 days per week, but will be considered as a full-time role as it will be combined with other ISF project research beyond the EUAH project.

Contributions to other projects are anticipated to be in the Energy Futures and Built Environment research programs.

 

Remuneration

Base Salary Range: $100,695 to $111,394 p.a. (HEW 7)

The level of appointment is dependent upon skills, experience and competencies.

The university offers 17% employer provided superannuation and salary packaging opportunities.

This appointment will be full-time on a Three-Year Full Time Fixed term basis.0.8 FTE (4 days per week) will also be considered.
