Group Leader - Cotton Breeding

As the Group Leader, you will work closely with the Leader of the Cotton Breeding Program within CSIRO’s Agriculture and Food business unit, to implement the vision and direction of the Breeding Program, and contribute to its setting and planning, to deliver outputs, outcomes and impact.
In this role, you will be focused on impact, operational efficiencies, health and safety and people leadership; and support the leader of the Cotton Breeding Program and the Research Director in the management of the Program's people, infrastructure and other assets.
The Myall Vale site is managed by NSW DPI and, in addition to the Cotton Breeding Group, also includes both CSIRO and NSW DPI staff working on in-field crop management research including cotton farming systems and pest management. This role also includes leadership interaction with staff from NSW DPI.
Location: Narrabri, NSW
Salary: AU$146k to AU$161k pa + up to 15.4% super
