CSIRO’s CSIRO’s Oceans and Atmosphere conducts research to help protect the marine and atmospheric environment and manage the impacts of weather, extreme events, climate variability, and climate change. Our team develops Australia’s national climate and earth system model, ACCESS, to simulate the likely impacts of human behaviour on our earth system into the future. We use these simulations to enable assessments of, and responses to, the risks posed by climate variability and change.
As a Senior Experimental Scientist, you’ll be a part of a multidisciplinary team of scientists that studies Australian marine ecosystems contributing to research that supports healthy marine ecosystems and the sustainable growth of the blue economy. You’ll undertake statistical data analysis, sample processing, writing of scientific reports and manuscripts, code management and detailed planning, development, preparation and undertaking of field research. The position is based in Perth as part of the Environment Business Unit, within the Coastal Ecosystems and Modelling Team.

Salary: AU$89k – AU$101k plus up to 15.4% superannuation
