How will your ideas contribute to shaping what’s next?

As a Senior Civil Engineer joining our NSW & ACT Water Utilities Team, you will play an integral part in a highly skilled team to engineer resilient and sustainable water infrastructure solutions.

We know the work we do is vital in assisting our world’s economic development and, it’s the technical expertise and the depth of knowledge of our people that really sets us apart.

In your new role you will:

  • Lead successful teams to deliver challenging water and wastewater concept and detailed design projects for our clients including Sydney Water, Hunter Water, Icon Water, and State and Federal Governments
  • Undertake the civil design and hydraulic analysis of water and wastewater network infrastructure including pipelines and pumping stations
  • Produce high-quality technical outputs to meet client expectations including design documents, reports, specifications and presentations
  • Work collaboratively with clients and stakeholders to deliver excellent project outcomes.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning by providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members as well as a commitment to your own ongoing learning and professional development.
  • Contribute to business development opportunities including tender responses.

As well as experience in a similar position, on a technical level you will also have:

  • A tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Chartered status with Engineers Australia is highly desirable
  • Experience working on the design of water and wastewater infrastructure projects including pipelines and pump stations
  • Knowledge of Australian water industry standards and codes
  • Experience in design software packages with AutoCAD and Civil 3D experience highly desirable
  • Experience in detailed design and construction is highly desirable.

Additionally, you will showcase your strong internal and external stakeholder management experience, a can-do attitude and importantly a strong team player who works well in an agile and collaborative environment.
