Principal Engineer

Core Environmental Projects are geo-environmental professionals who help landfill and contaminated site owners mitigate risk, by providing integrated assessment, design and construction solutions that deliver rehabilitated and healthier environments.

Our growing environment and waste team is looking for a driven and technically sound Principal Engineer.

This role is engaged in professional engineering applications across more than one field of expertise. They mentor and support engineering and scientific teams facing complex problems, bridging multiple disciplines of engineering with originality, ingenuity and advanced knowledge, all while identifying and pursuing opportunities in line with the Core-EP Strategic Plan.

This role may be based in Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane.

As part of this role, your duties would include: 

• Developing and performing specialist tasks required to support technical reporting, design of environmental protection, remediation and containment systems. 
• Developing and reviewing proposals for complex and multidisciplinary projects. 
• Generating new business.
• Cultivating highly motivated teams and mentoring senior staff.

To be considered for this role you must possess:

• Tertiary degree in Engineering or a related discipline. 
• 15-25 years’ minimum experience. 
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of tackling complex multi-disciplinary challenges.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to identify and mitigate risks during project delivery. 
• Proven ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels. 
• Proven ability to build and maintain exceptional client relationships. 

An attractive salary in line with level and experience can be negotiated.
