About the Opportunity

As an Environmental Advisor at CleanCo, you will be responsible for providing first line support to manage environmental queries from across the CleanCo operations portfolio (4 x sites). You will support your Environmental colleagues and report to the HSE Manager across a wide scope of areas including environmental initiatives, systems and cycles. You will be responsible for coordinating CleanCo's seasonal environmental initiatives and programmes with a focus on organising associated training as well as ensuring positive, effective management of third parties (i.e. external consultants, contractors and service providers).

Frequent travel to our sites across Queensland is pivotal to your success in this role and as such, you will be willing and able to travel, as per operational requirements, to both our SEQ and FNQ assets. 

This position can be based from our Brisbane head office or our Barron Gorge site in Cairns. Applicants from both regions are encouraged to apply.

About you

• Relevant tertiary qualifications (Environmental Science, Geology, Engineering);
• Demonstrated experience (2-5 years) providing environmental support and advice to a diverse range of people and locations in similar high risk environments;
• Experience supporting the delivery of environmental initiatives and outcomes across multiple sites; in culturally diverse environment (wet tropics will be highly regarded);
• Experience developing new processes and tools and implementing across the business;
• Experience providing environmental support and advice for undertaking work in high risk environments;
• Ability to understand and apply legislation and regulatory requirements in CleanCo's processes;
• Excellent collaboration, communication, organisation and relationship building skills;
• Ability to manage multiple work demands and competing priorities;
• Willingness to travel frequently across our asset portfolio - SEQ and FNQ as required;
• A passion to be part of something bigger than yourself, that contributes to the delivery of a clean energy future crafted in Queensland.
