About This Opportunity

Professor Tapan Saha is seeking three Postdoctoral Research Fellows / Research Fellows to perform the research activities within the Power Systems research area and to ensure effective collaboration with the investigators and academics, PhD students and industry partners involved in this project. 

The successful applicants will collaborate with the other researchers in the project including the higher degree research (HDR) students to meet the research project objectives. The research engineer/post-doctoral fellows will be responsible to deliver the projects milestone commitments and project deliverables.

Located at our picturesque St Lucia campus, renowned as one of Australia’s most attractive university campuses, and located just 7km from Brisbane’s city centre. Our Ideal Candidate

To be successful in this position successful applicants should possess an undergraduate or Master’s degree in electrical engineering with expertise in power systems analysis tools or a higher degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.

For PhD, proven submitted thesis for examination is acceptable combined with demonstrated research experience in field of power system high voltage network analyses tools in PSS/E and PSCAD with control techniques including renewable generation integration.

Alternatively, applicants should have a comprehensive knowledge in distribution system analysis and state estimation principles and a track record of publications in reputed peer-reviewed journals in power engineering or related area for PhD level candidates.

What We Can Offer

This is a full-time, fixed term position up to 3 years at Academic level A or Level B.

The full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range of $69,342- $92,782 for a Level A and $97,590 - $115,888 for a Level B, plus super of up to 17%. The total package will be in the range $81,131 - $135,590 depending on the level of appointment.
