Field Service Technician - Team Lead, Hydrography

 

The Bureau of Meteorology are seeking an enthusiastic and qualified technical lead with previous field experience to lead our Hydrography function in Brisbane.

You are a leader with a passion to uplift capability, support transformation and possess outstanding communication, facilitation and influencing skills.

Who are we?
The Brisbane Hub, situated on Turrbal land, is one of the Bureau of Meteorology's premier technical operations centres.

Staff based at the Brisbane Hub travel far and wide utilising 4WD's, planes, boats and helicopters to maintain service delivery within the various instrumentation networks.

This includes:

  • Flood warning / rainfall monitoring systems
  • Doppler Rain Radars
  • Automatic Weather Stations (AWS)
  • Upper-Air monitoring systems (Sounding Balloons)
  • Tide/Sea Level gauges
  • Wave height buoys
  • Communications, telemetry and instrumentation systems

We offer specialised, in-house competency-based training on all our equipment and will ensure you have the necessary tools and skills to undertake this work.
