The Mallee CMA features some of the most ecologically and culturally significant wetland and floodplain complexes in the Murray-Darling Basin. An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated and passionate individual to contribute to the management of high priority wetlands with an emphasis on the Hattah Lakes wetland system. The successful applicant will support the Program Manager – TLM Hattah Lakes in developing a robust ecological program of wetland restoration and maintenance.

The position of Project Officer Environmental Water will be responsible for developing and supporting watering programs funded through the Victorian and Federal governments. Key tasks will include project management, data analysis, report and literature review and communication of results in a politically sensitive environment.

The successful applicant will have a degree in Environmental Management, Natural Resource Management or related discipline, with two - three years of demonstrated experience.

The position is available to 30 June 2020 with an extension subject to funding, and a salary range of $63,086.23 - $67,804.65.
