Environmental Water Delivery Coordinator

Play a critical role in waterway health in the heart of the Murray-Darling Basin by joining one of Victoria’s most extensive environmental watering programs.

The Mallee Catchment Management Authority (CMA) features some of the most ecologically and culturally significant wetland and floodplain complexes in the Murray-Darling Basin. An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated and passionate individual to contribute towards the environmental management of a suite of high priority wetlands within a large geographical region. The successful applicant will lead and support environmental water management projects across a region that is home to more than 1,600km of river assets and in excess of 900 wetlands.

The position of Environmental Water Delivery Coordinator will be responsible for leading and supporting a range of Victorian and Commonwealth funded environmental water programs and contracts. Key tasks will include communication in a politically sensitive environment, project management and the delivery of environmental watering projects, as well as analysing data, developing reports and providing information to internal and external stakeholders.

The successful applicant will have a Degree in Environmental Management, Natural Resource Management (NRM), or Project Management; and 3 to 5 years demonstrated experience in all aspects of project management in NRM or other related discipline.

This position is available for a temporary tenure until 30 June 2021 (extension subject to funding). The salary range is $76,823.01 - $84,838.07 per annum dependant on qualifications and experience, plus 9.5% superannuation.
