The Role
This is a key position within the Agricultural Science discipline group; you will be expected to develop strong links across the School and with collaborating research organisations to foster the School's teaching, research, development and extension (RD&E) activities in extension and rural sociology. You will work closely with colleagues in crop physiology, soil science and management, weed biology, crop protection and irrigation, amongst others, to generate fundamental knowledge and support industry uptake of optimised mixed farming systems relevant both to Australia and internationally.

The School of Agricultural and Wine Sciences teaching and research activities are conducted at the Orange and Wagga Wagga campuses. Programmes offered include agricultural business management, agricultural science, horticulture, wine science, viticulture, and applied science. The School also offers PhD supervision over a wide range of disciplines.
The School has a significant research profile with close linkages to CSU Research Centres, including the Graham Centre for Agricultural Innovation, The National Wine and Grape Industry Centre, and the Institute for Land, Water and Society. School staff collaborate with external partners in education and research, especially NSW Department of Primary Industries, CSIRO, leading national and international universities, and TAFE sector institutions. Active international linkages in around 20 countries enhance the education and research programs.
