The Position… Reporting into the Team Leader – Sustainability Integration; the key focus of this position is to identify strategic opportunities internally and externally to achieve sustainability outcomes and knit together a consistent approach.

The incumbent will be an important advocate for sustainability outcomes throughout the organisation through learning, projects and reporting (working with the Sustainability Reporting Officer).

The incumbent will also work with the Urban Sustainability branch to embed environmental sustainability into key urban renewal areas working with technical officers within the Urban Sustainability branch. The incumbent will establish collaborative partnerships with City of Melbourne branches Placemaking and Engagement, Urban Strategy and Smart City.

You will have…

• Demonstrated experience applying strategic thinking, development and planning and delivery
• Strategic Policy development
• Demonstrated experience achieving outcomes through stakeholder management
• Ability to demonstrate and display City of Melbourne Values – accountability, integrity, courage, respect for self and others, striving for excellence, including a personal commitment to ensure the team embraces EP and diversity principles
• Appropriate tertiary qualifications in environment, sustainability, public policy, or business related.
