Terrain NRM is looking for an Indigenous Director to join its seven-member board.

Terrain NRM works with the Wet Tropics community to promote sustainable use of land and waterways, protect environmental values and support healthy, productive and viable communities and industries. Terrain is an independent not-for-profit organisation. Working with Traditional Owners across the Wet Tropics region is a very important element of Terrain’s work.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about bringing a contemporary Indigenous perspective to the Terrain board.

Terrain’s Board is appointed to:

• provide purpose, leadership, direction and a strategic vision • carry out risk management
  • select and oversee the CEO
 • ensure all legal and financial 
responsibilities are met and that finances 
are sound and operations are legal
• evaluate and improve its own effectiveness.








When considering candidates, the Standing Independent Selection Panel will apply criteria as per Terrain’s constitution.

Expressions of Interest (EOIs) must be submitted by 4:30pm(AEST) on Tuesday 13 November, 2018.

EOIs should answer the following questions, and be a maximum of two pages:

  • Why do you want to be a Director?
  • What will you bring to the role?
