The Institute for Sustainable Futures is recruiting for a highly talented and experienced researcher for a Senior Research Consultant / Research Principal role, to work on innovative research projects in the field of sustainable urban water systems.

We are looking for a team member who is interested in specialising in sustainable urban water systems, particularly relating to applied research on policy, planning and regulatory approaches. Your expertise will ideally include some or all of:  integrated water cycle planning and management, recycling and decentralised water options, water efficiency and demand side management, and stakeholder and community engagement. Prior experience working with or for water utilities and/or government will be a strong advantage.
 
Your qualitative and quantitative research skills should be complemented by experience working with and facilitating inputs from diverse stakeholders, including workshop design and facilitation processes. You should also have a working understanding of the Australian water sector.
 
Your track record of successful project management will enable you to play an integral part in a dynamic research team. You will have a proven ability to work in a commercial, team-based environment to deliver high quality project-based research. Excellent writing skills, including the ability to write for different relevant audiences, is required for this position.

Remuneration
Base Salary Range: 
 
Senior Research Consultant  $76,630 to $93,330 (Academic Level A)
Research Principal  $101,932 to $116,641 (Academic Level B)
 
The level of appointment is dependent upon skills and competencies.  Please apply for the level for which you wish to be considered by the panel.
 
This appointment is full-time on a 12 month fixed term contract. This role attracts 9.5% superannuation in addition to the base salary.
