  • Professional Officer Grade 1-4, $124,378 pa package includes salary ($58,687- $112,713 range pa), employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.

About the Role

The role’s purpose is to conduct research into dual purpose cereal crops that supports sustainable and profitable agriculture and the achievement of Agriculture NSW's corporate objectives. To be the successful candidate within this role you will possess or have the ability to demonstrate the key accountabilities of the role including:

  • Identify priority and emerging research issues for dual purpose cereal crops to ensure a targeted R&D program relevant to the needs of the agricultural sector
  • Partner with  NSW DPI Research and Development Agronomists, NSW DPI researchers, agribusiness and farming systems groups to integrate dual purpose crops into cropping enterprises
  • Develop, refine and distribute products for delivery to industry
  • Report on, and wherever possible quantify, the impact of research activities on industry profitability and sustainability

Essential Requirements

  • Qualification in Advanced Degree (PhD) in Agricultural Science or equivalent
  • Current Driver’s licence and ability to travel
