Council is currently looking for a water management professional to join the Water and Sewer team as Water Compliance Co-ordinator on a maternity relief contract.

In this diverse role you will be responsible for overseeing water quality monitoring programs for a leading regional integrated water supply system based on traditional catchment, bores, urban stormwater and river off take. Key management areas also cover drinking water management systems, effluent re-use systems, environmental protection licensing and liquid trade waste.

Having excellent technical and problem solving skills you will juggle multiple priorities as you work to strict deadlines and meet reporting and licencing obligations for all sites. You will also use your analytical skills and keen eye for detail to interpret and report on data, ensure regulatory compliance and develop and implement plans and projects in line with best practice guidelines.

Using your outstanding communication and relationship building skills you will manage a small team as well as work collaboratively with a range of people both within and external of Council, from operators and supervisors through to senior management and State Government stakeholders.

This is a great hands on role for someone with an outstanding mix of technical and people skills. It's a crucial role and will suit someone who is keen to work on innovative and award winning projects and programs within a culture which promotes continuous improvement.

Ideally we are looking for someone with all the experience we need - however if you feel you have the ability to take this challenge on and can deliver what we need - then we still would like to hear from you.
