We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our dynamic R&D team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in formulating additives and developing advanced biodegradable plastic composites, contributing to our commitment to environmental sustainability and innovation. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Develop research proposals aligned with Enzide’s innovative biodegradable plastic technology, with a major focus on particle science. 
  • Design and conduct experiments to evaluate the materials performance and biodegradability. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional commercial teams and academics to integrate novel biodegradable technologies into existing manufacturing processes. 
  • Prepare detailed reports and scientific publications to communicate research findings to the scientific community and stakeholders. 
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in biodegradable materials, polymer chemistry, and environmental sustainability. 
  • Contribute to patent applications and protect intellectual property related to new material formulations and processes. 
  • Manage, train and mentor junior staff and students. 

Essential Qualifications: 

  • Advanced degree (Ph.D. preferred) in chemistry, materials science, formulation science or a related field. 
  • Demonstrated experience in chemistry, formulating and analyzing particles and emulsions is essential. 
  • Proficiency in designing experiments, data analysis, and statistical methods. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven track record of preparing reports and publications. 
  • Demonstrated examples of creative problem solving to achieve remarkable outcomes. 

Desirable Qualifications: 

  • Non-essential, yet preferrable skills include polymer chemistry, working with proteins, surface chemistry, plastic engineering or composite science.
