Parks Australia are looking for a candidate with excellent project management skills as well as experience in the rapidly evolving field of monitoring the marine environment through acoustic technology.

This is an opportunity to make a positive contribution to a field that will change the way we monitor our valuable marine assets using the innovative and effective technology of acoustic monitoring.

This position works within a team responsible for coordinating the monitoring strategies for the Australian Marine Park Estate. This is a challenging task and one of the focuses is to evaluate and implement innovative remote monitoring technologies that allows us to achieve better coverage of our vast marine park estate.

You will develop, analyse, interpret and implement complex vessel and use monitoring projects, including acoustic monitoring technologies and applications. Stakeholder liaison is key in this role and the ideal candidate will be paramount in building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including the effective communication of project progress and outcomes.
