The Strategic Planner (Developer Contributions) is responsible for Council achieving its responsibilities in respect of developer contributions and to provide effective and efficient liaison with developers, members of the public, Council Officers whilst facilitating the continuing sustainable development of the Dubbo Regional Local Government Area.

Key areas of accountability for this position include:

• Prepare, implement and monitor Council's Developer Contributions Plans in consultation with the Manager Strategic Planning Services
• Ensure Planning Agreements are processed effectively and efficiently in accordance with legislation and Council's objectives
• Provide advice to internal and external customers on Council's Developer Contributions framework
• To monitor legislative changes and emerging trends in respect of developer contributions
• Develop associated strategies and policies on behalf of Council
• Develop and maintain key relationships with internal and external branch customers
• Participate and contribute to an effective and productive team

• Bachelor Degree in Planning, Environmental Science, Geography, Accounting or a related discipline
• Commitment to exceptional customer service
• Sound analytical and problem solving skills
• Sound knowledge of the NSW Planning System and the Developer Contributions system
• Well- developed computer skills, including Microsoft Office and spreadsheet applications
• Well- developed written and oral communication skills

Desirable Selection Criteria

• Experience in a similar role in a Local Government context
• Demonstrated post graduate industry experience

Salary: $84,752-$98,495 per annum plus superannuation.
