Environment Specialist

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an Environment Specialist to join our business and help support the market achieving its Environmental business objectives.

Located in North Sydney the Environment Specialist will support the markets sustainability journey. This includes maintaining and improving the Nespresso recycling program, driving circularity, zero waste and carbon neutrality projects. 

The successful candidate will be involved in but not limited to:

  • Be the expert in the market to apply/explain LCA (Life Cycle Assessment) and coordinate carbon footprint reduction plans
  • Maintaining and improving recycling operations to increase ease, reach and participation, whilst reducing friction, complaints, and cost.
  • Project manage diverse circularity projects
  • Coordinating the organisation plans to reduce waste, and removing all plastic from operations
  • Managing and driving all key reports/reporting/KPIs as may be defined by HQ/local market
  • Driving/Supporting all environmental related certifications
  • Ensuring legal obligations in terms of Environment.

Ideally, we are seeking candidates with a minimum of 5 years previous experience of Management Systems. Experience of implementing Environment systems through to audit with an ability to assess and write Environment related processes. This role will require you to have both very strong verbal and written communications skills. A good understanding of Microsoft Office is also desirable.

The role also will require you to work with other external stakeholders as well as internal departments and think outside the box when solutions are required. You will be a team player and have good analytical, planning, time management and organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
