RISK AND ASSURANCE COORDINATOR

(Permanent full time)

 

Located in the northern rivers area of NSW, Rous County Council is a special-purpose local government organisation that delivers bulk water and provides flood mitigation and weed biosecurity services.

 

The position


The Risk and Assurance Coordinator will lead, coordinate and ensure the implementation of contemporary enterprise risk and assurance strategies with an emphasis on work health and safety, environment and business process improvements.

 

Qualifications and experience

This position requires a relevant bachelor level qualification in risk management or related field supported by 3-5 years in a similar role.

Demonstrated experience in leading and delivering high quality, strategically aligned and practical outcomes in enterprise wide risk management together with operational experience applying WHS legislation, codes and standards are essential for this role.

The successful candidate will have quantitative and qualitative risk assessment skills, such as development and monitoring of risk controls and actions involved in the delivery and implementation of projects.

You must also be committed to promoting Council’s Values of Safety, Teamwork, Accountability and Respect.

Conditions of employment

Conditions of employment are in accordance with the Local Government State Award 2017. Salary range $83,132 - $97,240 per annum based on skills and experience plus statutory superannuation (9.5%) and generous working conditions including a 70 hour, nine-day fortnight. A satisfactory health assessment, including drug screening is a pre-requisite to an offer of employment.
