City, Coast & Country…Wyndham has it all!

Do you consider yourself to be a progressive, forward thinking and resilient Town Planner? If so, Wyndham City Council is the place for you.

Only 35 minutes from Melbourne CBD, Wyndham is one of the fastest growing Municipalities in Australia (forecast to be larger than Canberra by 2040). That’s going to mean a lot of varied, challenging and interesting planning applications within a large team.

At Wyndham we can offer you a caseload of planning applications that very few other Councils can offer, along with excellent opportunities for professional development and growth.

Within the Established Areas Team you will be responsible for:

-         Large scale infill development proposals;

-         A variety of job creating new industrial and commercial developments to serve the new population; and

-         Proposals within rural areas such as Werribee South (Melbourne’s ‘food bowl’) and Little River.

Within the Growth Areas Team you will be responsible for:

-         Managing the rollout of large PSP’s and associated permits to shape the future of Wyndham;

-         Dealing with developers and project management of applications.

You will be expected to contribute positively to a friendly office culture. Candidates need to possess a strong desire to be involved in the identification and formulation of process improvements to improve the efficiency of the Town Planning Department and the service provided to our customers.

You will have a tertiary qualification in Town Planning or another related discipline along with excellent written and verbal communication skills, demonstrated ability to problem solve and have extensive statutory planning experience. Local government experience would be advantageous.

All applicants must address the Key Selection Criteria outlined in the online questionnaire.

For further enquiries please contact: Margret Evans, Coordinator Town Planning (03) 9742 8152

Applications close: Sunday 1 April 2018

Only people with the relevant right to work permanently in Australia may apply.
