$57,151 pa (includes Industry Allowance) plus superannuation


Wyndham City’s Facilities and Open Space Department currently has an opportunity available within the Conservation Unit located at the Municipal Depot. 

Reporting to the Team Leader Conservation, this position will be responsible for working in designated teams to complete daily tasks in maintaining the City’s conservation areas to a high standard. You will be responsible for restoration and rehabilitation works, flora and fauna assessments, controlled burns and general conservation maintenance.  Specific activities include revegetation and weed eradication.  Knowledge in conservation of fauna and flora is a requirement as is maintenance of vegetation alongside waterways throughout
the municipality.

To be successful in this role, you will possess a current Victorian drivers licence; have experience in the use of small plant and working within a team environment.  Demonstrated competence in weed and plant identification including knowledge of revegetation techniques are key attributes for your success in this position. Qualifications in Natural Resource Management, Conservation or equivalent would
be advantageous.
