Senior Environmental Consultant-Construction

KMH Environmental is currently looking for an experienced Construction Environment Manager, with a significant planning and approvals background. It is an exciting time to be part of the KMH team as you will take a lead role in helping KMH’s clients deliver linear infrastructure projects through planning approvals documentation and supporting Contractors during delivery.

The successful applicant’s responsibilities would be:

• Audit, train and support Contractors in environmental management on site;
• Identify and communicate legislative changes and updates to the Environmental Team Leader and ERs;
• Support the Environmental Team Leader in investigation and reporting of environmental incidents;
• Review and endorse Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs) developed by a team of Environmental Representatives (ER);
• Ensure that all EIAs conform with legislative requirements and commercial objectives for infrastructure projects including environmental licences and statutory obligations;
• Mentor and provide environmental advice to ERs and external Contractors to reduce environmental risks and resolve issues;
• Participate in environmental input into Design and Procurement meetings, reviews and tender evaluations;
• Actively participate in supporting KMH’s Infrastructure and Planning Approvals Team;

KMH employs dedicated and enthusiastic consultants, managers and support staff throughout NSW and VIC. We are seeking an experienced Senior Environmental Consultant with:

• Relevant tertiary qualifications;
• 5-10 years demonstrated experience in construction environmental management;
• Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to communicate to multiple stakeholders;
• Possess enthusiasm and drive;
• Experience in developing, reviewing and implementing EIAs;
• Preferred experience in an alliance/project team working on linear infrastructure projects (ideally utilities); and
• Must have extensive knowledge of environmental laws in NSW and environmental issues.
