CSIRO is looking for a motivated and driven Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person to support the development of place-based cultural indicators related to drought and climate resilience with Indigenous communities and Traditional Owners.
Bring your knowledge and experience to CSIRO’s Drought Resilience Mission team and be part of a multidisciplinary research team aiming to build an understanding of local, place-based values to regional scale climate processes, western science-based data and catchment management systems.
The Senior Indigenous Research Officer will be responsible for developing relationships and partnerships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and Traditional Owners to support co-design, co-lead and Indigenous-led research frameworks for the Drought Resilience Mission and will collaborate with the CSIRO Environment Business Unit, University of Canberra and James Cook University on establishing Indigenous Traditional Ecological Knowledge approaches and frameworks.
Location: Canberra, ACT or Brisbane, QLD preferred, other locations may be considered
Salary: AU$121,455k - AU$142,321k per annum (pro-rata for part-time) plus up to 15.4% superannuation
