We are looking for a highly motivated Aquaculture Technician to provide advice on prawn broodstock maturation husbandry and hatchery rearing and their working knowledge of aquaculture biosecurity, within CSIRO research and development projects. In this role, you’ll get exposure to a wide variety of aquaculture research and development activities via projects and initiatives undertaken at collaborator sites.
If you have prior knowledge of aquaculture hatchery and production systems and some practical knowledge of water treatment and filtration systems, as relevant to hatchery operations with the ability to work in both indoor and outdoor settings then do not hesitate to apply. The position may require some travel and working for some periods away from the Bribie base and working out of normal hours as needed to support the project and operational needs.

Salary: AU$68k – AU$86k plus up to 15.4% superannuation
