We are looking for a highly motivated Aquaculture Operations Officer with prior practical knowledge and expertise in establishing and operating indoor and outdoor aqua culture systems with a focus on prawn aquaculture systems. This role will involve hands-on involvement in design and construction activities supporting research experimentation within aquaculture systems based within CSIRO sites and at industry-partner or collaborator sites and assisting collaborators to design and develop facilities within their own sites.
If you have previously worked in the aquaculture industry, collaborating with stakeholders of different backgrounds and are open to working independently and in a range of small teams to effectively support researchers operating experiments in the different aquaculture systems, overseeing less experienced technical staff and comfortable with some amount of travel, and at times, require working beyond regular hours and in different locations, then do not hesitate to apply.

Salary: *AU$105k – AU$142k plus up to 15.4% superannuation
