CSIRO Early Research Career (CERC) Postdoctoral Fellowships provide opportunities to scientists and engineers who have completed their doctorate and have less than three years of relevant postdoctoral work experience. These fellowships aim to develop the next generation of future leaders of the innovation system.
In this position you will undertake research in developing eDNA tools for weed surveillance and data analytic pipelines integrating other surveillance data sources, such as remote sensing, with the support of the team’s expertise in the areas eDNA, biosecurity and remote sensing. The core aspects of the project are: 1) to design and compare different eDNA protocols for weed surveillance, 2) conduct field validation experiments and 3) contribute to the development of an analytical workflow integrating eDNA and remote sensing data to predict target weed’s distributions.

Salary: AU$92k - AU$101k plus up to 15.4% superannuation
