The Opportunity
CSIRO Agriculture & Food business unit aims to boost the value, competitiveness and sustainability of Australia’s aquaculture industry. We are currently seeking an experienced Research Scientist to join our CSIRO Aquaculture Applied Breeding Team, and support a range of commercial breeding programs and research projects.
As the Aquaculture Breeding Scientist, you will apply your experience and knowledge to contribute to a broad range of research activities related to increasing access to genetically improved breeds for aquaculture and maximising their potential impact for target industries or clients. You will be actively involved in the design, implementation and management of research activities relevant to the effective development and enhancement of selective breeding programs, which will include collaborating with industry and government agencies.

Salary: AU$102K – AU$138K pa + up to 15.4% superannuation
