Science Portfolio Designer and Manager
Future Science Platforms (FSPs) are an investment in science that underpins innovation and have the potential to help reinvent and create new industries for Australia. The Environomics FSP focusses on genomics for environmental science. Environomics is a frontier science that brings together advances in DNA sequencing, evolutionary biology, big-data and environmental modelling.
As the Science Portfolio Designer and Manager in Environmental Genomics with the Environomics FSP, you will have a pivotal role in the design and assembly of a new portfolio. To identify technological opportunities in genomics, you will engage with both end-user sectors and technology experts, and develop transformative technology platforms to serve Australia’s natural resource management sector. Primarily you will assist with the selection of a new project portfolio and its implementation, and work with the Environomics FSP Director in a range of management, facilitation, and communication capacities to ensure its success.
Location: Crawley (Perth) WA or Black Mountain (Canberra) ACT (other locations may be considered by negotiation)
Salary: AU$115k - AU$135k per annum, plus up to 15.4% superannuation
Tenure: Approximate 4 year term (ending 30 June, 2025)
