The Opportunity
The Position
CSIRO’s Land and Water is seeking to appoint a Freshwater Ecologist.
We are seeking an ecologist, who has expertise in freshwater science, who can develop strategy, new projects and research initiatives. We anticipate the successful candidate having a strong client focus and network. Having expertise in leading and managing research projects teams is essential and capability teams is desirable. We are seeking applicants with a working knowledge of Australian river systems, with international experience being desirable but not essential.
We are seeking demonstrated outputs in science and impact, in developing the understanding of the management of freshwater systems, with outcomes being adopted in planning and management of freshwater rivers and wetlands. We expect this person to be have experience working in multi-disciplinary teams, working across physical scales and in communicating complex scientific concepts and outcomes to a broad range of stakeholders.

Salary: AU$136,437 - AU$150,956 plus up to 15.4% superannuation
