About the Organisation

Southern Gulf Catchments is a community-based organisation tasked with strategic and sustainable Natural Resource Management (NRM) planning and implementation in the southern Gulf of Carpentaria region of northwest Queensland. Originally founded in 1996, the organisation has the aims of protecting and restoring biodiversity values, arresting land degradation, improving water quality through decreased sedimentation and facilitating coastal and marine management.

About the Opportunity

Southern Gulf Catchments has an exciting opportunity for a passionate full-time Operations Manager to join its dedicated team based in Mount Isa, Queensland.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, this key role will see you managing the effective delivery of Natural Resource Management programs and projects. You'll be an integral part of the executive team and have oversight on a wide variety of projects and programs.

To be successful in this role you will ideally hold formal qualifications in Natural Resource Management, Environmental or Agricultural Science, or Business/Operational Management. A strong working knowledge of Human Resources and Workplace Health and Safety will be highly regarded.

You will have a genuine passion for environmental and community outcomes, and will be committed to making a difference within the community.

In return for your hard work and dedication, you will be rewarded with an attractive salary of $92,193. This will increase to $94,498 after an initial probation period. Relocation assistance is negotiable for the right candidate.
