An exciting opportunity has become available for a suitably qualified and experienced Plant Operator - Arborist to join our team. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor - Arborist, this position will undertake specialist tree management, maintenance and removal operations and will be responsible for the safe operation of plant.

The successful applicant will possess a Certificate III in Horticulture (Arboriculture) with a minimum of three (3) years recent experience in tree felling and pruning.

Other requirements for this role include:

• Demonstrated current experience in the use of the following plant: Chainsaws (various), Stump grinders, Wood chippers
• Current Work Safe Australia accreditation to operate a "Boom Type elevating work Platform"
• Demonstrated keyboard and computer literacy
• Power line Awareness accreditation (formerly 5099)
• Level 2 (Intermediate) Chainsaw accreditation
• National Construction Induction Certificate (White card)
• Work Site Traffic Control and Signage Certificate (Yellow Card)
• Traffic Controllers Certificate (Blue Card)
• Current HR drivers licence

• Starting salary range of $52,203.33
• All other conditions of employment are as outlined in the Local Government (State) Award.
