Our Bunbury Wildlife Park team are looking for a Senior Wildlife Park Officer to work amongst Bunbury's fantastic Wildlife Park. About your role

We are looking for a person who is biodiversity savvy, who can oversee the daily operations of the keepers and volunteers. You will provide exemplary care to the animals at the Bunbury Wildlife Park through the effective use of the Five Domains model of animal welfare.

  • Supervise the daily care and husbandry of the Park's animals to ensure appropriate standards in accordance with Council Policy: Commitment to Animal Welfare is maintained.
  • Provide direction in the development and review of section policies, operational plans, budgets, procedures and husbandry manuals
  • Liaise with industry professionals regarding animal diets, the administration of medication, testing and monitoring the condition of animals.
  • Assists in exhibit and enclosure planning, development, and design.

What's needed?

Experience working in a supervisory role as well as a Cert III in Captive Animal Management or similar would be an advantage. We also require you to have a full driver's licence as well as a current First Aid Certificate. You'll be physically fit with a great work ethic and sound commitment to "getting the job done".

A National Police Clearance is required for this position and to be supplied at interview stage or upon commencement of employment with the City.
