The Sustainability, Planning and Development department is seeking a full time Environmental Officer for an immediate start until 9 May 2019.

The Environmental Officer will assist the City of Bunbury in achieving its aspirations for the natural environment by providing professional advice and services, preparing and implementing strategic and operational plans and in liaising with relevant stakeholders.

The key skills required for this role include:

• Excellent natural resource management knowledge.
• Knowledge of both state and federal environmental legislation.
• Sound project and time management knowledge and skills.
• High level of written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work as an effective team member.
• Well developed communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite of products and in the operation of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) mapping software.

What we offer:

• Conditions of employment are in accordance with the City of Bunbury 2018 Employees Enterprise Agreement with a Level 5 to Level 6 salary range of $36.91 to $40.97 per hour depending on experience and qualifications.
• 76 hour per fortnight
• Fixed term contract until 9 May 2019, subject to extension by written agreement.
