Manager

We are seeking to appoint a Manager for our Townsville Office.

Alluvium is an employee-owned consulting firm founded in 2006 to provide advice to government and private organisations on issues facing our water resources, rivers and catchments.  We believe the application of creative thinking, robust science, practical engineering and effective communications can address the complex and interrelated threats to our natural environment and assets.

Our focus is on waterways and their catchments both in rural and urban settings.  We influence the direction of water and NRM management in Australia through our work with federal, state and regional government and private sector clients in the resources and development sectors.

We work hard to differentiate our business and believe it is possible for a commercial organisation to measure its success by things other than profit alone. Our motivation is to create a business that can and will make a difference to the world in which we live.

We invest heavily in an enabling culture, which removes barriers to creativity and freedom of thought and encourages people to develop as leaders throughout our business. Our commitment to our clients and technical competence has seen us rated in the top 50 BRW/BOSS Best Places to work awards each of the last four years.

Our business has grown substantially since we founded, and we now service clients through offices in Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney, Townsville and Canberra.  As part of the ongoing development of our business, we are searching for a Regional Manager to lead our Townsville office and provide a major contribution to our national business.

Overview of role

The role requires;

  • Ability to lead the existing Alluvium office in Townsville through strong people and project management skills, business acumen and technical knowledge
  • Contributions to the national business strategy for Alluvium
  • Very strong connections with the existing water and waterway management industry, particularly with regional NRM groups and local government, with ability to generate business in areas of personal speciality.

The role requires a division of time managing the business along with the delivery of consulting services in areas of technical competence.
