About the role
We have a critical role for one of our key clients, seeking a seasoned  Environmental Specialist (Adviser)  as part of the Major Projects (Studies) team, based in Perth Monday to Friday, with one day per week on-site in Boddington. 
 
What Will You Be Doing?  
As  Environmental Specialist, the purpose will be to carry out the following as part of infrastructure development activities (mine infrastructure | roads | earthworks | services | dams | water):

  • Identify and specify environmental requirements for mine development studies to support design, site investigations and construction activities
  • Assurance of environmental compliance for Studies and Execution activities
  • Assure communicated approval conditions and requirements

What Skill Set Do I Require?

  • Degree qualified in Environmental Science or related discipline
  • Professional that has practiced 5+ years of experience within the Environment, Community relations, or Planning areas with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in construction mining projects
  • Experience in environmental approvals, mine site operations, stakeholder engagement and contractor management
  • Experience in preparing scopes of work to support approvals, construction, and operations
  • Experience in preparing management plans to align with approvals and support construction, and operations
  • Proven ability to influence Operational personnel (up to and including site management) and negotiate positive outcomes
  • GIS mapping experience
