We have recently undergone a restructure and have an exciting opportunity available for a suitably qualified and experienced Principal Environmental Health Officer to join our Engineering and Development Services team. In this critical role you will provide leadership to and coordinate the Environmental Health Officers, ensuring the delivery of environmental health services in accordance with best practice, legislation and Council policy.

To be successful in this role, you will have demonstrated leadership skills, a qualification giving eligibility to be an Environmental Health Officer in WA such as Bachelor of Health Science in Environmental Health or equivalent and sound knowledge of the Public Health Act 2016 or Health Act 1911, associated regulations and other applicable legislation and codes of practice. Strong skills in research and evaluation, report writing and policy and procedural development are essential. An aptitude for general IT use, including Microsoft office and electronic management systems is a must. Previous experience with mosquito management and training in food auditing and unauthorised discharges would be advantageous.

Your commitment to the team will be rewarded with a negotiated salary, circa $80k to $84K per annum dependent on experience, up to 14% superannuation and restricted private use of a vehicle.
