City of Darwin is seeking a dedicated customer service operator to join the Waste Management and Recycling Team as a Transfer Station Attendant.

In this position you will coordinate the daily operation of Council's waste transfer station at the Shoal Bay Waste Management Facility. You will ensure that waste loads are assessed, recorded and disposed of appropriately.

The successful applicant will have customer service experience, cash handling and reconciliation skills, numeracy and literacy competency, and ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of Council policies, procedure, systems and legislation relevant to the role. This role requires physical lifting and manual handling.

The current regular shifts for this positon vary across Monday to Sunday. Penalty rates apply as applicable.

Requirements of the role include possession of an OHS White Card, Forklift licence, National Police Clearance and successful completion of a pre-employment medical assessment.
